Roger Wheeler Beach
Roger Wheeler State Beach in Narragansett is beloved for its fine white sand, gentle surf and all-around kid-friendly vibe. There's a playground, shaded pavilion, environmental educational area, bathrooms and a snack bar. Take long strolls (the state beach covers 27 acres) and play in the waves. Our Sand Hill Cove beach rental house is a few hundred feet from Roger Wheeler – just wander down the sandy path right out your front door. It couldn't be easier!

East Mutunuck Beach
East Matunuck State Beach is 144 acres of gorgeousness! White sands and medium-to-strong surf account for its popularity. It's perfect for long walks, beach combing and swimming (keep an eye on the kids). Catch views of ferries heading to Block Island and fishing boats heading in and out of the Port of Galilee. A wind turbine powers the beach pavilion. If you stay at our East Matunuck beach rental, you'll find the beach at the end of our street. It's so easy to stroll back and forth for beverage refills, naps for the kids or to grab lunch!

Narragansett Town Beach
Narragansett Town Beach is considered one of the best beaches in Rhode Island for surfing, especially for beginners and long-boarders. Wander the beach and collect shells and ocean-tumbled stones. Amenities include two pavilions with concessions and restrooms. Our Wakefield vacation rental is just 3.5 miles from Town Beach, an easy 10-minute drive. Note that the cost of beach admission at the time of this writing is $12 per person in the summer. Children 11 and under are free. You can purchase a parking pass online before you go to save time at the lot.

Scarborough Beach
The magnificent Rhode Island coastline includes popular Scarborough Beach, with its soft sand and decent surf. It's a perfect place to take a long walk, fly a kite or just relax. There are pavilions, a boardwalk, restrooms and concessions. Scarborough Beach is located about 15 minutes from our South Kingstown house. Get your beach parking pass online before you head out.

South Kingstown Town Beach
Looking for a beach with a little more wave action? About a 10-minute drive from our Wakefield vacation rental, South Kingstown Town Beach is a favorite for body and board surfers, thanks to its lively surf and wide, sandy shoreline. (Keep a close eye on your little ones on big-wave days.) Stretch out on 1,300 feet of sand, soak up the sun, and watch the Block Island ferries drift by. Regular visitors say the beach rarely feels crowded.
