location
This East Matunuck beach rental is in THE BEST location, just a hop, skip and jump to the sands of East Matunuck State beach! If you want to stay for the day, just leave your things and stroll back for beverage refills, naps for the kids or to grab some lunch.
You also can wander a few minutes from home to Jim’s Dock for seafood or Skip's Cafe for coffee and ice cream. In this pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, you're less than a mile from Matunuck Oyster Bar ("farm-to-table and pond-to-plate") and Cap’n Jack’s.
Jerusalem is a special place on Point Judith Pond, a quaint fishing village years back that has transformed into a summer retreat. It is across the harbor from Galilee, where you can catch the ferry to Block Island to enjoy 17 miles of pristine beaches and see 19th-century lighthouses dramatically perched on cliffs.
If you want to venture further, the Narragansett Pier Marketplace and Town Beach are about a 20-minute drive. Wickford and its many shops, antiques stores and restaurants is a 25-minute drive. The sailing town of Newport is about 35 minutes and a great day trip to visit the aristocratic mansions of the Gilded Age, enjoy a cliff walk along the beach, shop and dine in the water.
Your Rhode Island vacation isn't complete without a visit to historic Wickford Village and its antique shops, boutiques and restaurants – a 25-minute jaunt from home.
